DIY at The Makery SRQ

The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime just got an art studio upgrade!

Paint your own ceramics, take a spin on the Pottery Wheel, meditate with Mandala Making, get messy with Slime and so much more!

Meet the owner, Gina, the one responsible for this madness!

My journey to opening The Makery began with a simple yet powerful vision: to share the very best of my passion and creativity with all of you!

I've been captivated by the magic of making since I was young. Whether it was painting on every surface available, getting my hands dirty with clay during weekend pottery classes, acting on a local stage, or ruining the family blender while trying to make homemade paper at 10 (sorry Mom & Dad!) Creativity has always been an inseparable part of my life's journey.

Over the past decade, I've had the joy of sharing my love for art through teaching and event planning. Along the way, I've left my mark by redesigning my former city's local theater awards as well as orchestrating the annual Sidewalk Chalk Street Painting Festival. I've organized public art projects at art festivals, state fairs, regional events, and I even had a memorable stint running a kids' theater company!

The Makery’s mission goes beyond pottery and art; it's a commitment to creating community. The Makery is a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where just giving it a go is celebrated. Whether you've lost touch with your artistic side or yearn to explore new creative landscapes, I’m here to cheer you on just for trying (and to enjoy your smile when you realize you've done better than you thought!)

So, my dear makers, wherever you are on your journey, you're welcome here! Embrace your inner badass, tap into your artistic spirit, and dare to come play in the mud! Let's ruin blenders for the sake of learning and mold a world of creativity together, one masterpiece at a time!
