Meet Jesse of Black Lagoon Vintage & Nostalgia

Black Lagoon Vintage and Nostalgia, based in Sarasota, FL, is a curated haven for vintage enthusiasts. They offer a diverse collection of vintage items through the decades, with a special focus on the '90s and Y2K eras and handbags. Black Lagoon aims to bring out your inner child by offering items you loved from childhood but couldn’t afford or were too afraid to try. They believe there’s no age, gender, or body type requirement to be fabulous. 

“I’ve always been obsessed with Old Hollywood and fashion and I’ve always had an eye for finding fabulous things, and I love repairing them,” said Jesse.

Jesse started online In 2018. In 2020 during the pandemic she became obsessed with Vintage Juicy Couture. (If you aren’t familiar with it that might sound odd, but there are just so many details and fabrics to each piece. It’s kind of like Beanie Babies, you want to feel the soft velour and catch them all.) She founded an instagram account to highlight the culture of Juicy from the 2000s and also share photos of how people are creating looks with vintage Juicy nowadays.

Her store was growing to take over her house. So when she found The Bazaar she knew that she was ready to become a real brick and mortar shop. Jesse moved into The Bazaar in April 2024.
